&lt;p&gt;One of the greatest freedoms is simply not caring what everyone else thinks of you.  Sometimes you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and what you want to be.  The best thing you can do is follow your heart.  Take risks.  Don’t just accept the safe and easy choices because you’re afraid of what others will think, or afraid of what might happen.  If you do, nothing will ever happen.  Don’t let small minds convince you that your dreams are too big.  They aren’t.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Starting today, stop waiting for approval.  Here’s why:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;You only get one life to pursue the dreams that make you come alive.&lt;/strong&gt; – It is better to be failing (and learning) at doing something you love, rather than succeeding at doing something you hate.  So take chances on behalf of what you believe in.  Fail until you succeed.  Make sacrifices and step out beyond the safety of your comfort zone over and over again.  Face your fears with courage and passion.  Keep your word and hold true to your vision until it comes to life.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Someone else’s approval is just another opinion.&lt;/strong&gt; – Never let someone’s opinion become your reality.  Never sacrifice who you are, or who you aspire to be, because someone else has a problem with it.  Love who you are inside and out, and keep pushing forward.  No one else has the power to make you feel small unless you give them that power.  You are the only one who can create your dreams and happiness.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The only opinion of you that really matters is your own.&lt;/strong&gt; – In life, the thing that is really hard and really amazing is giving up on the desire&lt;span id="more-490"&gt;&lt;/span&gt; to be perfect in the eyes of others, and beginning the journey of &lt;a href="http://www.marcandangel.com/2012/05/23/14-rules-for-being-you/" title="14 Rules for Being YOU"&gt;becoming your true self&lt;/a&gt;.  So let your love flow freely.  Because what you love determines your dreams, your dreams determine your actions, and your actions determine your destiny.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Some people will never give you their approval anyway.&lt;/strong&gt; – Do not let the negative opinions of others destroy your inner peace.  There are two kinds of people – those who are a drain on your energy and creative force, and those who give you energy and support your creativity, even with the simplest gesture, like a smile.  Avoid the first kind.  Be happy.  Be who you want to be.  If others don’t like it, let them be.  Happiness is a choice – YOUR choice.  Life isn’t about pleasing everyone.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I took my next set of measurements today, and I&amp;#8217;ve lost 1.5 inches off of my waist. This is a big victory for me, as my waist has been pretty resistant throughout this whole ordeal. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#8217;s also surprising, considering this month wasn&amp;#8217;t my best. I missed a week of workouts and only lost 5 pounds. I&amp;#8217;m noticing differences though. All of the pants my mom took in a few months ago are pretty much hanging off my hips, and the pair that I never wore because they were too tight actually &lt;em&gt;fit&lt;/em&gt;. In fact, they&amp;#8217;re a little loose already. Just a little.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;ve finally been getting the &amp;#8220;have you lost weight?&amp;#8221; &amp;#8220;damn, girl, how much weight have you lost? You look good!&amp;#8221; comments from co-workers pretty much every time I see them, which rocks. It&amp;#8217;s one thing to notice differences yourself, even for your family to notice, yet completely different when you start getting it from everyone. My measurements going down and the scale dropping is all I really need, but I still get so giddy when people notice. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Another thing I&amp;#8217;ve noticed is people say I look slimmer than I did last year, which&amp;#8230;according to the scale, isn&amp;#8217;t quite true, but according to my measurements - is. My pants from last year are loose on me too, even though I&amp;#8217;m not at that weight anymore. This is one of many things I love about strength training - it makes you look more toned and in turn, slimmer. For instance, people assume I&amp;#8217;m about 15 pounds lighter than I actually am. Even in my before and after photos I posted on Facebook a month ago, people said it looked like I had lost around 30 pounds, not 17 and I&amp;#8217;d have to agree. So even though the scale seems to be slowly going down, I&amp;#8217;m okay with it because my measurements always go down. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Still, I&amp;#8217;m taking the scale ten pounds at a time and trying to go by how my clothes fit. One of my fitness groups on Facebook is having a three week challenge so I&amp;#8217;ve made a schedule to follow, a pretty strict one. I&amp;#8217;m just about to start the PUSH phase tomorrow, which I&amp;#8217;ve been excited for ever since I finished it two months ago in the first round of CLX. I&amp;#8217;m planning on going much heavier than I did last time and I&amp;#8217;m logging the amount of weight I use for each move in all three workouts. Goal is to go at least 2.5 pounds heavier each week on all of the moves, or at least a total of 5 pounds up in the entire month. For example, I&amp;#8217;ll be using 12.5 pounds on my bicep curl in the first week and by the 4th week, I want to be using 17.5 pounds at least.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We&amp;#8217;ll see how that goes. Looking forward to the challenge, that&amp;#8217;s for sure.
